They had been part of a group of eight walkers from Australia, who had originally booked their Coast to Coast walk ahead of the pandemic. For obvious reasons this was postponed several times, although each year they reconfirmed their trip. Finally the eight were able to enjoy the epic, English route this July.

 

“I spent three years planning their holiday,” Trina said, “and during all that time, going backwards and forwards with emails, amending their trip, and supporting them with extra services, we built some kind of a relationship. It was a real pleasure working with them and I certainly hope to be able to support them again”.

When the group of eight couldn’t come to the UK in 2021, they walked the Larapinta Trail instead. This must certainly have been good preparation for their challenging walk here.
 

After they had finally made it to Robin Hood’s Bay at the end of the Coast to Coast, Martyn said:
